Katelyn Tran is a graphic designer based in Portland, OR. She is currently attending Pacific Northwest College of Art.

Katelyn was inspired to create Con Khỉ (Dear, Monkey) as a way to reconnect with her Vietnamese identity through an artistic lens. Growing up, she felt caught between two identities: too Asian, but too white. Con Khỉ is a love letter to her younger self, saying that your cultural identity is something you should not be ashamed of.

Continuing her practice focused on connection through food, she highlights lesser-known Vietnamese desserts through her products. Con Khỉ creates space for connection, appreciation, and pride, acting as reminders that culture is something worth celebrating.
